How long have you been a member of YPOGP?: 
I have been a member for three years.
Tell us where you are from and where you went to school.: 
I am originally from Woodstock, Illinois and graduated from Marian Central Catholic High School. I have a bachelor's and a master's degree from Bradley University. I am pursuing a post master's degree from Illinois State University
Where do you work and what do you do?: 
I am a certified special education teacher focused on providing effective and intense instruction to struggling learners and collaborating with others to identify, and intervene with appropriate interventions, learners that exhibit early difficulties in learning.
What do you like about the Peoria area?: 
I love the opportunities that Peoria has for getting involved and making an impact in the community. I enjoy Bradley Athletic events and being able to stay connected to the university.
How do you feel that YPOGP has helped in your professional career path?: 
YPOGP has provided me the skills to be a more effective leader. I have gained skills in leadership, communication, and organization. The skills I have learned in YPOGP carry over to my current position in my facets.
What activities provided by YPOGP do you find most beneficial?: 
I am the current social chair and feel that the social activities are opportunities for young professionals to connect to the community, their colleagues, friends, and peers. The social activities also expose YPs to the bountiful activities accessible in Peoria
In addition to YPOGP, what other activities or organizations are you involved in?: 
I am a member of the Junior League of Peoria and serve on the Peoria PlayHouse Committee as the Facility Manager. I am also a member of the Illinois Valley Striders and Peoria Autism Society. I have volunteered with PACE. I serve on the Bradley University Student and Young Alumni Committee and was previously on the Board of Directors for the Central Illinois Bradley Alumni Chapter.
