Tell us where you are from and where you went to school.:
I'm originally from a small town that is about 30 minutes northwest of Peoria called Williamsfield. I attended grades K-12 there (all in the same building, no less!) and went to college at the University of Illinois (Go Illini!).
Where do you work and what do you do?:
I work for P.J. Hoerr, Inc., a general contractor. As a project coordinator I am in charge of the "money and paper" side of construction jobs. This involves creating the bills submitted to the owner, keeping track of contracts and doing payouts associated with my projects.
What do you like about the Peoria area?:
Ah, so many things! :o) I love that it's large enough to have lots to do but small enough to not be overwhelming. No matter what some people say, there is always something to do around here, whether it is a sporting event, concert, play, etc...
What activities provided by YPOGP do you find most beneficial?:
Mostly I've gone to the happy hours and other social events and I can definitely say I've met a lot of friends! It's great to be able to meet new people in a fun environment!
In addition to YPOGP, what other activities or organizations are you involved in?:
I am an instructor at Gold's Gym and play on various sports teams throughout the year.
