The Illinois Valley Yacht and Canoe Club is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1907. The IVY Club is a beautiful, historic facility located on the Illinois River. We are available to host special function ... weddings, anniversary and Christmas parties, rehearsal dinners, showers, social events, business meetings, trainings, and seminars. Our panoramic view of the harbor creates the perfect ambiance for your event. We are currently having a membership drive where all initiation fees are waived, when signing up for a one-year membership.

A Few Things we want you to know about the IVY Club:

• You do not have to own a boat to join the IVY Club. In fact, we have more social members than sailors or power boaters.
• Use Your Boat More Often. Our many club activities will give you more reasons to get out on your boat. The reciprocal agreements we have with other yacht clubs in the US and abroad allow for use of their facilities by simply presenting your membership card when away from home port.
• Great Social Activities. Ever wonder what to do on the weekend? The club will help fill your agenda with our many social events.
• Boating Safety and Education Classes. Our club offers an accredited program in boater education taught by members of the United States Power Squadron in addition to other classes taught by our members and other professionals.
• Racing, Racing, Racing. We sponsor a wide variety (PHRF, IORF, STARS) of sailboat racing series, and your membership allows you to participate in other clubs’ races from all over the area. For cruisers or power boaters, there are also numerous opportunities to crew on fellow members’ boats. Youth and adult sailing classes.
• Swimming. We have a competitive swimming team with kids of all ages that compete against other country clubs. Professional coaching and staff make pool programs the stuff family memories are made up.
• Great Food. Come dine with fellow members and experience the many savory items prepared by our executive chef. And don’t forget to bring your guests!  From a casual carry-out of our famous tender Ribs or IVY Fried Chicken to our elegant French Night, Italian Night or Commodore’s Ball.
• It is more affordable than you think! Our harbor pays for itself so there are no annual assessments.

Food will be provided and a cash bar will be available.
