Get Connected
Join YPO members on Wednesday, February 24th, 2010 from noon - 1pm at the Peoria Chamber of Commerce offices (located at 100 SW Water St. in downtown Peoria) and find out how you can get connected with volunteer opportunities with the American Cancer Society and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
The American Cancer Society is the nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service. Volunteering for the American Cancer Society means you have an opportunity to save lives and fulfill your own.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure is fighting every minute of every day to finally, once and for all, finish what they started and achieve thier vision of a world without breast cancer. Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures.
We hope you will join us and find out ways you can become involved!
Email Sarah Stabler sstabler@chamber.h-p.org if you'd like to attend.
